BrightWork is a Microsoft SharePoint add-on or extension that empowers organizations to effectively manage work and projects with a set of pre-built solutions and tools. BrightWork is the first SharePoint solution based on a formal project management model – the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF), which in turn was influenced by the PMI PMBOK – Project Management Institute Project Management body of knowledge. In 2003, BrightWork became the first company, licensed by Microsoft, to use the MSF model to provide SharePoint solutions and tools to help manage work and projects. BrightWork customers include Microsoft, US Army, General Motors, Trident Insurance and the US Navy.
